Meet Dr. Paige
Dr. Paige is a licensed professional counselor, a certified professional counselor supervisor, and a National Certified Counselor with a focus on resilience and trauma. She holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and an Ed.S in Professional Counseling and has dedicated the past twenty-five years to supporting trauma survivors as a trauma-competent clinician.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Paige serves as a professor of clinical mental health counseling and is a subject matter expert in trauma impact and counseling curricula. She is the founder of the Institute for Trauma Competency, where she developed the Trauma Competent Clinician® model, grounded in her own qualitative research. Dr. Paige has received numerous awards, including the American Counseling Association Professional Development Award, the Chi Sigma Iota International Outstanding Practitioner Award, and the Chi Sigma Iota International Outstanding Faculty Award. She has also published and presented nationally on topics related to resilience and trauma competency.
Known for her dynamic teaching approach, Dr. Paige offers both live and online training and consultation to mental health professionals, focusing on competency-based trauma care and resilience. Her expertise has made her a sought-after guest on national media, including NPR affiliates. Dr. Paige is also the Founding Secretary of the International Association for Resilience and Trauma Counseling, a division of the American Counseling Association.
